George Georgiou (CEO) (B.Eng(Hons), MSc , PhD(cand)
Mechatronics engineer (mechanical + electrical) and PhD (CAND) Computer Science, with more than 25 years’ experience in the fields of sensors, wireless sensors networks, automation, automated image processing, mapping and visualizing data, machine design, retrofitting of existing equipment. He has also worked in projects related to (In the IoT, smart agriculture, smart cities, Cloud applications + IoT.  George has passion in using computing and Internet related Technologies (ICT) as a tool to solve problems that they need an innovative approach and solution. 
Before founding Novatex in 1999 he has worked as a researcher (1995) for MRI (Manchester Royal Infirmary) (Anesthesiology department), as a full time lecturer at Frederick University and later on worked in positions related to hospital and analytical and environmental equipment and supplies. George is also a member of CAMBPE (Cyprus Association of Medical Physics and BioMedical Engineering)
He is also the coordinator of the European Robotics Week in Cyprus and president of the scientific committee of the largest robotics competition in Cyprus with more than 500 robots.

His expertise spans digital transformation, smart systems, contact centre technologies, public procurement, technical consulting, and quality assurance. He has extensive experience delivering large-scale solutions for public authorities and industry, while supporting technology validation, pilot deployments, user training, and stakeholder engagement in research, Living Lab, and capacity-building initiatives. Maria Kyriacou (Operations Manager)
Maria Kyriacou is a holder of master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in Translation. She also has a diploma in Event Planning, Marketing & Management. A dedicated language learner, able to handle English, French, Turkish, Russian and Italian along with native Greek. With a natural eye for detail, a long experience in advertising (mainly as a copywriter) and her previous career as an examination officer, she can manage well with quality assurance procedures when necessary.
